How to make marbled papers and objects in Ebru Art at HOME?
Immerse yourself in the world of marbling in this two-day class combines the Experience the Tank and Beginning Marbling classes but goes deeper into marbling by learning more advanced patterns, marbling on a wider variety of mediums, and marbling in all tank sizes. It is designed for beginners as well as those who want to expand their marbling practice and give you the confidence to start marbling on your own at home!
What will I learn in this class?
History of paper marbling
How to prepare the marbling medium or size
How to prepare paper or object to receive ink (alum method)
Various techniques for creating basic marbling patterns, such as stone, peacock, suminagashi, french wave, etc.
We will play in a variety of tank sizes and marble on a wide array of materials including paper, glass, and ceramic.
Review: This class will cover a variety of techniques including the finishing and drawing techniques of previous 2 days classes.
Length of Class: 3 hours
Number of Class Participants: Max of 6 students!
Cost: Includes all paper and other materials to marble on, carrageenan bath, alum, distilled water, paint, use of tanks and tools, and handouts.
Class Schedule: Classes generally run from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm
*Note: To allow adequate drying and setting, need around 15mins or will be mailed to participants via local post after the workshop(only for paper piece).
Fees
Individual (i.e. one pax only) – RM200/pax
Pair & Group (i.e. 2 pax or more) – RM180/pax
Note: Children of 10 yrs should be accompanied by an adult.
